Jeremy Clarkson welcome to ITV and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire
Jeremy Clarkson - Top form for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire
Love him or loathe him Jeremy Clarkson was more than a 50-50 Great Host of ITV's Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
Sadly last nights contestants with some simplish questions were sadly lacking in the general knowledge category.

Old Show Newish Format, Whats new about Who Wants to be a Millionaire
The idea is the same, 15 Questions and you answer all correctly you've won a £1 million. Two new parts were
- Ask the host. Considering Jeremy's well travelled knowledge this is something that could be a good thing.
- Rather than walk away with £32,000 safety net you can choose your safety net. It's a simple enough idea and does n't make the show any worse than it was.

Why is Jeremy Clarkson a great host of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
Jeremy is Jeremy and in an age of Political Correctness gone mad he says what people are thinking. You only have to go on Twitter or Social medias other outlets to realise he was saying what people were tweeting etc. The 'No Coughing', remarks, the 'Hope you do better than last person', all worked and made the show flow a lot better. Did it lose something from Chris Tarrants version, yes, there was a loss of tension.
The other thing about Clarkson on this and also when he has been on Have I got New for You is that he is n't just just insulting towards Richard Hammond and James May. Last night Joe Public got it, the moment he had to speak to a contestant's phone a friend was very funny by cutting him short. ITV have definitely found a great host in Jeremy Clarkson to breathe life into an old show.
Why is Who Wants to be a Millionaire worth watching on ITV STV?
Well based on the first nights relaunch it's not due to the contestants superior quiz knowledge. What I mention above was the Jeremy Clarkson factor, another thing was with which the show seemed to move. As said the drama of NOT drawing things out longer than choosing someone in X Factors The Six Chair Challenge worked. Given that this was an hour and the show got through Three people albeit they did n't get upto high cash values. In the older version with Chris Tarrant you would have got through about 1 person and the other person would have dragged onto the next night. Whether this is ITV or Clarksons way of presenting it made the show more watchable rather than a complete re-hash.
Is Who Wants to be a Millionaire worth watching the rest of the week?
The answer has to be a yes, not only for Jeremy's excellent wit but the chance of someone using the Ask the Host Question and Jeremy getting it completely wrong. Most importantly we ant people to get that £1 million. I can't imagine the show will not be back later on in the year.
