AGS are the company which run Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton Airport.  They were formed when Heathrow sold them off and Ferrovial and Macquarie Group bought them.

Working at an airport can involve so much.  Security Guards, Cleaners, Check in desk staff, baggage handlers, airfield operations, fire crews, engineers, technicians, office administration, facilities mnanagement retail staff, the list goes on.

AGS have their own staff.  Onsite there are companies like TRG (The Retail Group) who look after the bars, British Airways, RyanAir, Eastern Airways, Amey, Carillion, Avis, Hertz, etc  They do their own recuitment.

Generally to work at an airport for landside or airside access you will require the following by an airport I.D. unit.

5 year checkable references.  This is meticulous. You cannot have gaps of more than two weeks. So work history, self employment, unemployment, studying, if you were not working but living or travelling abroad for a few weeks or months.

You will also need to pass a Criminal Record Check etc.
