Bag O Nails Glasgow – Chill out with Great Rock Music, Food and Drink.

Bag O Nail's Dumbarton Road - It Rocks .

Was only in Bag o Nails for a few drinks after a meal elsewhere. It's the old Partick Tavern and its changed inside with a bar now as you walk in the door next to bus stop. There are plenty of TV's to watch the football. There's a more specialised selection of beers, quite liked the Drygate Pilsner I tried. Decor is good, with the beams in ceiling being seen. Service was good, though only spoke briefly to bar staff. Music was 80's rock with Kiss, ZZ Top and also Saxon. The revival of Finnieston a few years back, and spreading lately with the Brew Dog pub across from Art Galleries has now reached Partick. Would go back to try few beers and food going by the menu.  The food on menu has a mix of traditional Scot's things like Stovies and also some lovely big succulent burgers to try.   Dec 2017 - I did try the mussels with Cider Leek and Bacon and while the portion size was good, you could n't really taste the cider through it.  A place to try Burns Night this January 2018 though.

12th of June. Bag O Nails The Devil's Right Hand Burger as featured in pic above is a very nice burger and worth trying.  The bap roll it comes in is a good size and stops your eating getting messy.  The burger itself is fairly tastey and it's thick.  The Mustard Mayo, has a strong enough taste of mustard to appeal but not overpower. The chips are good and come in an Auchentoshan tin mug.

The 2 for 1 Pizza deal during the week is a great value deal.  Thin based pizza's with great mixture of toppings.

Bag o Nails offers a lunchtime menu with a fine selection of Groovy food. It could be the place to try for a Christmas Dinner or Afternoon with good food and cocktails to try.

If you are looking to find a place who sells Budvar on tap, this is one of them in Partick.

If you are a Tourist in there 20's or above visiting Glasgow and fancy trying a chilled out pub in the West End with great Rock & Roll music playing in the background then this is worth trying.

You can find out more about Bag O Nail's on their website.
