Cooking a Goodfellas's Pepperoni Pizza in Vonshef Square Multicooker

This guide can also include most pizzas as long as you just watch your timings slightly with erring on the side of caution by going to mins less.

I've had my Vonshef Square Multicooker for almost 4 months now and I am largely please with it.  I will say though that for cooking pizza I would not go out my way to recommend it.  THe problem being is that it has no overhead heating element so you are basically hoping for it to cook from underneath and have the lid on and thus cook with the steam generated from the Vonshef Square Multicooker.  Now this does actually cook the pizza but you will not get a topping which has any real colour to it.

So the way I go about cooking a pizza in this instance a Goodfellas Pepperoni Pizza and this goes for all pizza's as mentioned above change timings slightly.   I am cooking the above pizza from almost frozen, it had been out the wrapper for 30 mins. I generally add some oregano to my pizza.  Perhaps even small drips of BBQ sauce just to jazz my pizza up.

I put the multichef cooker on at temperature of 4 and add a splash of vegetable oil.  I then carefully lift the Vonshef Multicooker up to swirl the oil around the pan.  Place the pizza carefully on the multicooker surface and put on the glass cover lid.  I set a timer for ten minutes and let it cook away.  You can use a timer on your mobile phone.

Once the ten mins is up, i transfer the pizza to my microwave which has a grill built in.  I place it using fish slice or spatula onto the metal cooking platform which came with my microwave.  I put the pizza on for 10 mins at combination cooking of microwave & grill.  

Ten mins later I have a lovely pizza. The base is firm enough, the topping although look brown is, well coloured and the pizza dough soft and the topping deliciously gooey.

If you dont have a combination microwave then putting under a cooker grill is an alternative at a medium heat for five minutes ,keeping an eye on the pizza till you are happy.
