On Gogglebox tonight we had Giles and Mary talking about Die Hard and Bruce Willis's infamous scene where he is pinned down in a room and Hans Gruber says shoot the glass.   So John McClane has to run barefoot through glass to the exit stairwell.  Giles said I am sure he could have used some envelopes or jiffy bags.  In 30 years of that movie being released I don't think anyone has said that.
